Three-toed Sloth in Costa Rica

This has been a good month for sloths in Costa Rica, probably because it has been colder than usual so they had been more active looking for food. In this case, the delicious leaves from a Cecropia tree. If you look close around the head you can see some bugs/moths flying by as they lay their eggs on the sloth´s fur and skin.

I like that you captured it in motion with the hand off the tree- doesn't seem quite so sedentary. I also like the framing of the image with the trunk on a bit of a diagonal, and leaves balancing the top and bottom. Well timed and well executed.
