I was shooting a Bower of a Great Bowerbird near Mareeba on the Atherton Tablelands, Queensland, Australia recently when a Rock Wallaby took an intense interest in my rig. I don't know if he liked the brand or was chortling because I had the wrong f number or he thought he had discovered a new species.

The area has large granite boulders and that is one he is sitting on.

LOL! I think he wishes the tripod was lower so he could get a look through the viewfinder too. :D

I think he's saying 'You're pointing the wrong way, look at ME!'

Thanks for the laugh Graeme!   :P

Graeme,

Great pose with the little Wallaby looking up, appearing to be thinking about your Canon camera and lens--it's quite humorous. Excellent capture of such unusual behavior.  Also, I'm fond of the little camera you used to capture this frame. I have one and just love it.

Wonderful, fun capture! The Wallaby is so small, didn't realize there were species this size.
