This image was taken after waiting over 5 hours without moving just waiting for this jaguar to get up from its resting place. It could have gone in any direction however it walked straight towards me! Thank you Mr. Jaguar !!!

          THE JAGUAR
Jaguar, jaguar, burning flame,
In the forests of the rain.
What immortal hand could score,
The fearful resonance of thy roar?

-JM, 2010

With apologies to William Blake (1757-1827).

Welcome to Wildlife Michael! This looks like a very nice first post from you and the warm light is lovely especially as it catches those amber eyes. I wish the image was larger for a more detailed comment but as posted it gives us an idea of what you saw that day. Looking forward to more from you.

Welcome Michael, lovely first post. The light on the face is pretty sweet. Nice of him to be so cooperative for you.
I also would love to see a bigger image and also your technicals (focal length, aperture) on this.

Great shot.  This is real wildlife photography.

I think a vertical crop would make this pic even more dramatic.
