Great view of the feeding behaviour Bill, and lovely wide open mouth view! I like the inclusion of the habitat here giving a real sense of place and scale. Nice one!

Hello Carol

Great & Thanks. The Humpbacks are starting to be well known in this very remote area over the last few seasons!

We encountered many Whales and were very fortunate to have a couple of seasoned experts leading the Adventure!

It was extremely dark during this adventure , due to the extreme Rains and cloud cover , So a high ISO was necessary mostly & up to ISO 6400 at times. My Equipment was protected vey well & it performed Top Notch again!

Thanks for your feedback & interest. I plan to add images to my web over the next days of this Adventure into the GBR

Bill, great open mouth capture particularly with the water streaming down. Well done!

The Adventure over 7 days was amazing to witness!

Weather was typical for a Rainforest , amazing volume of rain but did not slow the excitement to see so many humpbacks , doing their thing.

A few close encounters with touchable closeness where the strong odour from his blow was pungent but left a memorable experience, with a sprayed photographer smiling from the experience!

ps.... posting some images on my web over next while.

Hi Bill

I really like the action and the sense of the environment....even in the heavy rain.

Cheers

Nice capture showing how the pleats of the jaw expand so much in this type of feeding. We had a couple of bubble nets early on in our trip, close to the Bella Bella end.

The interaction between these whales was interesting to see and attempt to understand their different methods of feeding !

Thanks for feedback, much appreciated.
