this capture shows a Pair of Humpbacks, The whale on the right has "Blown its Stack" (exhaling from its Blowhole . The whale on the left is preparing for "Deep Dive" . The gull is looking for small fish & I am very excited to see this!
This Adventure into the GBR was filled with Amazing encounters with Humpback Whales. At times we were very close & could even smell the expelled Blow as it drifted towards our location! Humpback Whales (Megaptera novaegnliae) along a narrow deep coastal inlet Location: (GBR) Great Bear Rainforest , Northern BC Canada D600, with 200-400VR F4 lens, Hand Held on Sailboat VR on Active mode, Exposure : 1/1250, F5.6, ISO 2200, -1.0 Meter Compensation.
