This week the whitetail rut is in full swing but will be winding down in a couple of days. But it was a good week to be in my whitetail woods, the bucks were really moving around. This nice 10 pointer was constantly moving all morning searching out a lady friend. As he was moving across this field I knelt down for a lower perspective.

The low perspective works well for you here. Good separation of the buck from the background, and the soft lighting helps to keep this from being too busy. I keep feeling like the image is slightly rotated counter-clockwise because all the trees behind and to the right of the buck are leaning. However the ones on the left edge of the frame are relatively straight. I think I'd still rotate this CW a degree or 2, at least to check it out.

Nice one John...
I was out and about this morning but don't think I saw you lurking in the woods.
I really like the framing of the photo. The bent tree in the back really adds nicely to the composition.

Nice low angle and I like that you got him on a slight diagonal moving forward. Lovely to see them in good condition for the rut
