One of several "keeper" frames from an exhilarating cheetah sighting in the Mara Triangle last year. We saw even more kills during this year's trip, but our positioning was perfect on this one for some real close-up action shots.

'Run for your life' was never more graphically illustrated Morkel with every muscle and sinew stretched to the limit. Amazing action capture.

Dirt flying, mouth open, and a sharp turn; great shot.

Superb. The tense body positions are excellent.

Morkel,

This is the most "dynamic" shot I have seen in a LONG time. Congratulations on a job extremely well done.

Outstanding capture of the life-and-death chase -- the splayed foreleg and paw of the cheetah is amazing, as is the ground hugging position of the unfortunate prey.

This image has it all... the tension is palpable as you can almost feel the last moment of the gazelle's life.
So masterfully photographed!
