Bison cow and calf

It is hard to tell a story backwards, but this image shows one of many gruelling attempts that this cow made to try and get her sick calf up on its feet.   Her raised tail and laboured breathing was a sign of her fear and confusion.  She stayed with her calf for hours until her instincts told her it was time.  She gave one glance back to the coyote waiting and that is where my other image came in.
