A Minnesota whitetail deer raises its head after scenting something on the ground this morning.
I thought he was going to "lip curl", but no luck. The little buck behind him smelled the spot after him and did the Flehmen Response two times.

Perhaps this bigger, more experienced buck could compute all he wanted to know from a quick sniff and the younger one needed the added resource of the Flehmen response to decipher the messages! Nice look back head turn pose Jerry.

Again I like your composition, the buck is well placed between the background trees and the bush next to him gives a good counter-balance. But the pose and regal expression really make this one.

Nice image Jerry! But he probably did not like that big white lens poking at him!  See ya in the woods!

Hello Jerry

Wow, a beautiful very robust Buck. Excellent detail on the buck.
The protruding green stem up his rump is distracting , but I understand this is what he gave you.

Great placement b/n the two dark trees. Love the head turned back and the great detail from but to ear!!

Nice shot Jerry,
I really like the sideways glance and the way this buck is framed by the trees in the background.
regards,
bruce
