The Grizzly Drinking from the Estuary waters as the tide recedes. Watchful for intruders as breeding season develops. Taken in Northern British Columbia Canada in springtime.

D700 with 70-200mm Vr lens in normal  @ 200mm, F7.1, 1/250
ISO 2500, -.67 Manual Meter Compensation, Hand held from a floating Zodiac boat.

I love this image! Its a real winner! In wonderful soft light all the elements (subject pose, the water, the bank, and green grasses) all work together to create a memorable image. I almost looks like a painting to me.

Very cool Bill, I can't remember seeing images of bears drinking before. This might have made an excellent vertical as well getting all the bear in and more of the reflection. But this is super also, must be amazing to be so close.

Don't see a lot of bear drinking images! Nice reflection and oh my those claws. Very good detail and colors in this.

Hello Guys.... The Bear drinking image is not very common but I have witnessed several incidences where they stop and drink before heading out again !
