Welcome to NSN and the wildlife forum Randy. This is a wonderful image! Love the separation with the background and the pose with the opposing raised feet giving a good sense of movement. Nice soft light as well.

Very cute. I would have placed the Ox a little further to the right, but that's just me

I agree with others, this is a strong image, but would concur with comments to place subject to the right just a little bit more, also there are some sharpness issues due to slower shutter speed. Finally, I see a light halo around the subject, which is generally introduced in post processing by local contrast enhancements such as the clarity slider in Lightroom, or custom LCE in Photoshop. Avoid that by applying clarity locally in LR with the adjustment brush, or lce locally in PS with a layer mask. Consider taking a look at that issue on this image and future ones. Well done though!

Hello Randy

Well done to capture this little guy in Stride. Clean background too!. Would enjoy seeing your Techs . on this and that could assist me with a better Critique.
Without your Techs. All is a Guess, But I think your DOF has captured the Little guy better in rear and a little soft in its front leg area , Head & Shoulder with a soft eye, & the Ground area supports that thought too. Is this a significant Crop ?

So sweet! A precious image of this high stepping little calf and you have to love those tiny fur boots. Welcome to Wildlife Randy and you've made quite an entrance with this first post!

We can all come up with suggestions of how we may have captured this slightly differently, heck
you crated a memorable image even if I may have done it slightly differently.
Chances are if I had faffed too much I may have missed the shot all together, you certainly didn't
you created a charming, wonderful photograph, bravo!
