Elephant Seal

This was shot from the shoreline on Hornby Island, B.C.  I was pretty excited when the creature dove and then emerged so close to shore. I was laying on the rocks to get a low POV.

Nice low angle and good use of selective focus on this Northern Elephant Seal. I like his back flip view and the blue ocean surrounds showing off that distinctive trunk like inflatable snout!

Interesting shot of the Northern Elephant seal...they are really expanding their range to their historic areas.

Cool to see this species was photographed in the Salish Sea. Hopefully they'll continue to expand their range here in our coastal waters!

A very different perspective than we usually see on Elephant Seals. I like the low angle which gives such a smooth foreground and background. Nice work.
