This is a creature I haven't seen before, very interesting looking. It's too bad the brown grass is right in front of the nose, perhaps a few seconds earlier could have avoided that. I would crop most of the left side of the image as there isn't really anything going on there that adds to it, and as presented the subject (head) is very centered. It would be helpful if you added some technicals (focal length, f/stop). I'm wishing the scales on the back were sharper but hard to say if that could be done without knowing such details.
I do like that the light is soft and even for this subject.
