The Lioness had two very active cubs and had her paws full looking after them.
The male was particularly naughty and as the early morning sun illuminated the scene. The male cub was summonsed, with the aid of a large paw and given a good biff in the ear....as shown. It looks like an endearing moment between mother and son.
Like human youngsters it seemed to have no effect on his behaviour and he was as naughty as before.

Canon EOS1DX ISO 2000, 500mm f4 lens, f8, 1/500sec, beanbag.

What a good moment to capture. I suppose that little boy better start listening in short order! Very nicely composed and that sweet light is just the icing on the cake here.
