A lazy rock Hyrax basks on a rock in the early morning light. Funny little things they are, very cute though. I tried the NIK sharpener on this one, not sure how that worked out, what do you guys think?

Hi there! The sharpening looks quite good, though for my personal tastes I would bring it up just a tiny, tiny bit sharper. Either way, composition look good and simple on this one. The light is nice, and the like the catchlights in his/her eyes. What a weird creature! Nice photograph.

That is one chillin' Hyrax. Nice simple composition. Sharpening looks ok to me at this size.

Nice photograph.
This guy looks like he's taking a rest after doing battle for the hill. What I particularly like about this shot relates to the biology of the animal. You've managed to capture the "tusks" just visible between the upper an lower jaw. This signature feature is one of the few morphological traits that connect these little ones with their elephant cousins.

btw, sharpening looks just fine.
regards,
bruce
