I was walking down a familiar trail to do some early morning landscapes when I encountered a young fox enjoying it's muskrat prize...

That's a nice bonus for your landscape trip Bruce! A good natural behaviour capture - early morning is a great time to find foxes out and about.

Wow, what a great bonus! I like the moment captured with those big teeth showing so clearly. Nice, soft even light too. As a matter of taste, I would rather see less of the blurred foreground, maybe even a bit higher vantage point to see the feet and prey better and less foreground and more background. Being very picky :)
