It's been a long while since I've posted work here, though I continue to be inspired by the incredible photography see in this gallery!

This is a summer Bull Moose (Alces alces ). We (my wife Tamy, and two golden doodles) spent 16 days on the road throughout the Great Lakes and Ontario. We camped and canoed throughout much of the adventure and took in some amazing landscapes.

This Bull was found in a quiet bay off "Canoe Lake" in Algonquin Provincial. We set off around 6:15 am for a paddle and by 8:30 found this guy munching along the shore. I was fearful that the dogs would jump in the water and blow our opportunity, but Tamy managed to keep them quieter than my shutter :D . We had a good 45 minutes where I could do some moose in landscape shots as well as tighter pics like this.

Exif... Uncropped Image Canon 7D + 100-400 4.5/5/6 L (the canoe rig). ISO 200, 1/250, f6.3

For those interested, I've been blogging about my travels and attempt in serious photography w/ two big dogs @ http://btleventhal.com//bruceleventhal/

cc always welcome.

Lovely image Bruce, nice low angle and pose with the soft light showing off sweet detail of this handsome bull as he keeps an eye on you.

I had a read of your very well written blog and it looks like you, Tamy and the two labradoodles had a blast!  Nice and interesting with a touch of humour and some great images.  I enjoyed it, thanks.  8)
