Late afternoon. Young Barasingha deers cross a road in Kanha National Park.

The endangered hard ground Barasingha (Rucervus duvaucelii branderi) is nowadays found only in Kanha National Park. Only ~ 500 hard ground Barasingha deers remain in the world today.

A Cheetal stag is following the Barasinghas.

A nice view of these deer in their natural surroundings Nilanjan, you can see they are on alert to every sound as they pass through. Danger could be lurking anywhere with all that cover and the poor things will never be able to relax!
