I was driving around in a forest, when I came across this huge fella sitting by the roadside. He was the leader of his pack, and stood his ground. I got out of the vehicle slowly, and was able to come closer without spooking him. Walked sideways a bit (he followed me with his eyes) so that I could get a clear background, putting some distance between the alpha langur and the bushes behind him. I was carrying only a 70-300 lens, so positioning was critical for a blurry background.

D7100 + Nikon 70-300 VR. B&W conversion done with Silver Efex Pro.

Buffer zone of Nagzira National Park, central India.

What a face! Love the detail and the composition. Taking the few extra steps was a good choice here.

Hello Nilanjan

A close up with clean background, the sepia tone adds to this capture giving a soft pleasant image.
