This was captured 3 years ago at Jim Corbett National Park in the month of May. In the winter they usually perform a local migration from higher altitude of Himalayan range to the lower area like Corbett. April/May is the best season to observe them in the wild in Corbett National Park..

This is a male Asiatic Elephant, referred as Tusker.

Exif:-
Canon 7D with 100-400L.
f5.6,1/500 at ISO 1000.

Hi

A nice enough shot but perhaps the subject is a little too tightly confined within the frame for my tastes – although in fairness it looks like frontal OOF foliage might have been limiting your options. Still an appealing view mind you

All the best
Matthew

I had the same thought about the framing as Matthew has already said. Good detail, I like that you can see all the dirt and grasses on the back. Pleasing light as well.

Good detail in the face and hide and nice soft light. A shame there isn't enough room at the bottom to allow for the feet - the legs being cut off at the bottom spoils it for me.
