Frilled Lizard

Northern Territory, Australia

My wife and I made a quick 3-day side trip to the Darwin area, largely in hopes of finding one of these lizards.  Within a few hours of getting off the plane, my wife spotted this one from the car.  I had to climb nearly to the top of a 20-foot tall tree to capture it.  We photographed it for about 15 minutes and then released it where we found it.  Perhaps the most spectacular animal, bird, mammal or reptile, that I have ever seen.

Hi

An excellent shot – love the puffed up pose, although I guess this was because he was not happy with you (laughing) Thanks for a smashing view

All the best
Matthew

Superb view of this magnificent lizard Milo! It looks seriously ticked off with you, and I am loving your collection of different species found on your Australia trip. This one is a stunner.
