I didn't expect to see Polar Bears and King Penguins at a new Ocean Park in China that I have visited a few days ago. When I was in Alaska, I failed to see the bears at close range. I only saw a huge replica of a Brown Bear enclosed in a glass-enclosure at the airport in Fairbanks. I didn't bring my wildlife lenses with me - just a 70-200mmf2.8 and a 16-35mmf2.8II and a 1DX only. I shot this walking bear outside a huge Bear Complex and Exhibition Hall before entering inside.

Thank you for looking

Not quite a substitute for seeing a bear in the wild but better than the stuffed bear in a glass case! Interesting looking Bear. Looks to me like one of the Eurasian brown bears with those large ear tufts.

Nicely composed to use the natural-looking habitat available. I like the pose with some movement- but could've used a bit more shutter speed to get the head sharper. The bear in the light against the darker background also makes it stand out well.

Hi

Overall I like the composition but would echo the remark about the head area

All the best

Nothing like a Polar Bear - you should ask for a refund on your ticket!   :?
