An image of an African Elephant taken from our boat on our Chobe, Botswana tour last year.  I liked the way the light was just hitting his tusks and head, Full frame

Hi

Nice shot of this big fellow – I like it

I assume the lighting is a lamp from the boat?

All the best
Matthew

Thanks Matthew, it was late afternoon, I purposely underexposed the image to make it darker there was more ambient light than it looks like in the shot.  No lamps used.

Hi Nate, long time no see. I like the lighting here very much. Just enough to reveal the impressive parts.

I think this makes for a moody image. Nice work

Certainly not your every-day elephant image, good thinking and use of the special lighting situation.
