A little over a year ago, I posted a photo under the subject name "Four of a Kind" where 4 fox kits were lined up outside their den looking at me. It ended up being one of my most popular prints from the last year and was also published in Montana Outdoors magazine. I was going through some "old" shots recently and found this one... with the 3 remaining kits after one left to play with the other 3 siblings. I ended up liking this one a lot - so I thought I'd share.

Three is a better number than four. The different heights of the heads makes for a nice arrangement. Area surrounding the foxes is clean and not distracting and a nice complimentary color. I also like the way the foreground slopes up to the right, rather than being level.

Very cute Karl -- I like the view of the den, and especially the curious looks from the kits!

So cute! The varied head positions really do make this, as well as the fact they are all looking right at you. Pleasing flow to the ground at the den entrance too, it sweeps your eye around and right back to the kits.
