I saw three of these little cats at Ranthambhore, but this cat, spotted on our way back, was the only one that was photographable. Canon EOS 5D II, EF 500/4 + EF 1.4 II, Gitzo monopod, f/5.6, 1/500, ISO 1000, PS, Topaz.

Nice find Bob, we were pleased to see a couple of African Wild Cats in Zambia as they are so elusive and it was just as exciting as the bigger varieties. I'm sure the Indian ones are also hard to come across. You got a pretty clear view of this one!

I like the light on this that gives a little rim light to the chest. Pretty little cat! I like the ears going in different directions, ever vigilant they are.

Nice open view of it with a good amount of natural habitat too. The lighting is very pretty. Steve

Perfect spot to capture this cat without the subject blending in to the background! It's easy to see why they could be hard to see if they aren't moving. I really like the partial rim lighting on this cat also to help subject stand out from BG.

I've never seen one of these cats, so thanks for posting this handsome example! Great eye contract!
