It was as dark and rainy a September day as it just about could be. Shooting through the forest trees practically from between a rangers legs (dude would not move.....) I was able to capture some great, though not perfect, images. Shooting my old Nikon D2x meant not pushing the ISO too much - while 80% got deleted, many were keepers. Some noise is evident but nearly impossible to completely clean up. I love the wolf puppy to the right eating in the grass.
Nikon D2x Body, 500mm F4 lens, ISO 320, f4 at 1/125s. Bogen Tripod, Moderate wind, ACR raw to jpg conversion.  Brent Russell Paull
