I saw this coming when I watched the clouds building up over Carson City last Friday afternoon. So I drove up to Donner Pass, climbed up the mountain side and composed. Mother nature did the rest.

The Title is kind of a pun, if you know that the word "Donner" is German for "Thunder".

A great photograph is absorbed by the eyes and stored in the heart.

The light on the weathered tree is a big plus for this pleasing landscape.

Terrific view -- the position and lighting of the old tree really makes the shot.
