Gorgeous painterly view -- the figures and their shadows really make the shot.

Nice colors. The people give it scale.
Larger sized samples of my work can be seen on Google Plus at https://plus.google.com/u/0/+JerryBarnettPhoto

The surreal look, particularly the clouds at the horizon, make me wonder about post processing. Would you provide a bit of background about this image please?

The image was shot at March 2008 in afternoon.
It isĀ riverĀ 'Bakreswar' at birbhum district, West Bengal, India.

Camera Details:

Camera: Nikon D80
Lens: Nikon AF-S DX 18-135mm
F/5.6, 1/125, ISO: 100

I edited the cloud and horizon by increasing the contrast selectively.

thanks for looking and comment.

Great scenery. Unfortunately the partial stairs in the lower right grab too much attention and the rendition has an unpleasant plasticity to it.
A great photograph is absorbed by the eyes and stored in the heart.
