Interesting perspective. I was never aware that those pillars actually lean toward the west. Looking at the foundation reveals that this must be the way it was engineered.
A great photograph is absorbed by the eyes and stored in the heart.

They don't, that's just perspective distortion from the wide angle.  They do however taper and are wider at the bottom than they are at the top.
