can practically picture the spot you stood on EJ. Very nicely composed and the warmth from the castle lights contrast well with the oncoming gloom of dusk..
Make your life spectacular!

Great image, the lights coming on to light up the castle has worked just as the light is fading. Great work.

Beautiful image EJ, beautiful reflection and the orange tones against the muted tones works very well. I imagine the late Bill Lockhart would have had much to say about these Scottish images you are sharing.

Yes he likely would.  The last shoot Bill went on was with me and Greg in the Canadian Rockies.

Gorgeous light -- the castle stands out beautifully against the heavy gray sky. The flag pole seems a bit of a distraction -- I might trade it for a bit more of the bridge on the left. ;) Another stunning 645DF image!

A very nice composition with the foreground rocks and the reflection and then the castle.

Another beautiful and moving image of Scotland. Your composition and use of light ,both natural and man made ,is A+.
You have me really thinking about the use of stacking. I will have to give this technique a serious look.

Very nice EJ. I like how the reflection of the castle sits nicely with the position of the rocky shoreline. Awesome mood here.

Excellent composition with nice, moody colors.
A great photograph is absorbed by the eyes and stored in the heart.

EJ the comp is sound but the dull flat lighting is a little disappointing leading to a flat image, especially in the upper half. As you seem to have a band of last rays of sun hitting the castle I would see if you can bring out more light play throughout the image. I think it would really lift the image. The flag pole is a distraction that you may have removed via composition if you are apposed to cloning it out. Have you got rid of your Nikon rigs?

That is artificial lighting on the castle.
