there is probably too much bush on the right ... criticisms are like, because I want to learn .... :wink:

I like the positioning of the boats, the water looks good, and the cloud movement adds interest to the sky. The overexposed bright spot could be dealt with blended exposures. It's a matter of personal taste, but as you suggested the shore doesn't contribute much, so cropping from the right could strengthen the image, and I think a vertical crop also could work well.

Great scene, but I think moving the frame to the left so the boats are just right of the center would have rendered a stronger composition. More open water to the left and less shoreline to the right.

The bright spot on the water doesn't bother me; I'm sure that's what it looked like to the naked eye.
A great photograph is absorbed by the eyes and stored in the heart.
