Drove by the Bowers Mansion in Washoe Valley this morning and saw that it is decorated with a flag. I figured that a historic building with a 35-state flag makes a good illustration for "American History". So I stopped and reached for the optics...

A great photograph is absorbed by the eyes and stored in the heart.

Excellent composition of this hiistoric place built by money from the Comstock Lode --- and $300,000 in 1863 was a lot of loot. Thanks for sharing this bit of history!
