Glass in the Desert

Recently enjoyed the chihuly exhibit in the desert. It is quite stunning to see his work. I didn't know if tripods were allowed so all was taken handheld in the dark; quite a challenge.

His work is so amazing! The PBS special on it a while back was great. So creative. What ISO did you have to use?

The ISO varied depending on the illumination. Anywhere for here to 600.

Yes, organic for sure! I never knew what I was going to see around the bend. Kinda other-worldly.

Was this display in Phoenix? If so I hope it will still be there in June. His work is beautiful and it does photograph well if the light is working for you.

Scary, yet attractive. Looks like it's "wanna reach out and grab ya!"
A great photograph is absorbed by the eyes and stored in the heart.
