Found this nice little night still-life at the San Juan Bautista Mission in California.

A great photograph is absorbed by the eyes and stored in the heart.

HDR would only do to it what it does to most pictures: sterilize it.

Cool framing shot. I like the dark contrast as it keeps the attention through the arch.

I would agree with over the top HDR, but subtle boost of theĀ  shadows would add tremendous depth to a very well composed shot.

Have you clicked on the image to see it in "Lightbox" mode? That will restore the detail in the shadows that cannot be seen when the large white areas around the image force the eye's pupil to close down.

This is recommended for every picture on this forum, including my "A New Day" shot in the landscape forum, about which you had a similar comment.

I like the title :) Lightbox mode does add to the detail. The circular arc surrounding all the rectangular shapes adds a lot of interest to a nice simple composition.
