A great photograph is absorbed by the eyes and stored in the heart.

Gorgeous reflections Jens, and the fountains are spectacular. Beautiful work!

Not the greatest area to be wandering around with expensive camera equipment at night eh? I took a few of my buddies here when I came to shoot just to be sure.

I started taking night and early morning pictures of downtown L.A. and adjacent areas - including East L.A. - some 25+ years ago. Criminal activity was a big concern in the beginning, but I learned rather quick that after 4 am the crooks are sleeping and I never had an incident.

Over the years I have been the victim of two car burglaries while on early morning shoots, but not in or anywhere near Los Angeles. Both took place at Lake Tahoe.

This shot was taken around 5:30 am and I was indeed a little worried for my safety; not because of crooks but cops. Echo Park is within the infamous Rampart Division of the LAPD.

Nice and crisp, and I like the reflections too.

Great colors, exposure and the fountain tops it off!
