Was hoping for a clear shot of the San Gabriels in the background after some light rain the night before, but was greeted with fog covering most of LA.

That's quite an image --- pretty cool that only the tips of the buildings project from the fog. Well done!

Splendid! There are thousands of images with the mountains behind downtown. This one blows them all out of the water.
