Etretat, Normandie

This beach, famous for its arches at either end is an absolute circus on warm weekends when hordes of Parisians descend on the town of Etretat. I had a lot of problems photographing the place but I liked this shot of a girl I met exploring the shore. It looks like she is posing but she isn't.

Beautiful interpretation of a day at the beach, and well controlled exposure. The hazy sun and shadows convey a sense of heat even in B/W, and of course the girl (and her shadow) hunting for shells or stones really makes the shot. I'm a bit curious about what's out of frame on the right that might have prevented adding a bit more space on the right. I love the mood!
