This is question to Canon and Nikon users who used Sigma lenses.
I'd like to know if EXIF information such as shutter speed, f-stop and lens type (manufacturer, focal length, speed) is being transferred to software.

Thanks

You can see which (Canon, Nikon) lens Sigma uses to identify their lenses by using Exif Tool by Phil Harvey.

Exif tool is fine for few pictures but since I work in Lightroom with many pictures I'd prefer "proper" identification.
Besides for lenses from manufacturers who don't license whatever it is what needs to be licensed,ID of the lens can be used by some other lens in the future.
For example most of lenses from Sigma,Tokina and Tamron for Minolta and Sony use their own ID's and don't properly  show in Lightroom.
Yes,Exif tool work on them but so what.
