I use LR and PS for my photo processing. In working on images and folders I have, in a couple of instances, inadvertently created duplicates of large numbers of images in some folders. Is there a simple way to delete the unwanted duplicates rather than tediously highlighting and deleteing them?

If the duplicates have the same numbers/titles then you could remove the folder from LR, delete the duplicates in Windows Explorer, then import the folder back into LR.

You could also do a sort in LR, and select the duplicates and delete them as a group.

Have Fun,

The duplicates normally have an extension after the file name to distinguish them from the original. It's something like "_2". just put that into a search - without anything else that in the filename - and you should get all the unwanted duplicates. Select All and delete.
A great photograph is absorbed by the eyes and stored in the heart.
