  1. Navigate to Forums Home in the website navigation bar and click on the link Delete all board cookies located under the Browse Forums page title.
  2. Close all NatureScapes tabs/windows and exit the browser entirely.
  3. Open the browser and make sure it's not opening up any NatureScapes pages.
  4. Delete the NSN-specific cookies in your browser or, if you don't have an objection, delete all cookies. The NSN cookies have either .naturescapes.net or .www.naturescapes.net as part of their name. For help with deleting cookies in your browser please check out this helpful guide on www.aboutcookies.org.
  5. Exit the browser again, reopen it, and try to sign in again.

NO I think youa re fine with that many erase cycles. I wouldn't worry about it at this point.

Perhaps a relevant question is: 'Why would anyone buy a used hard drive of unknown provenance?' Memory is now very cheap, as low as $50 per terabyte.

Meanwhile you are going through a complicated and time-consuming process to erase your old drives and then will probably recoup less than half their initial cost.

Is this cost-effective?

Just my 2 cents.

James I thought the same thing but EBAY says different. I have 5 harddrives that I can sell that add up to 3TB (USB 2.0) and from the proceeds I can net (after paypal and ebay fees) enough to go buy a brand new USB 3.0, 3TB drive.

Seems crazy but people are buying these things.

Throwing them away sounds more crazy to me. Reuse is the second of the three R's.
