Dreamy orchis

Congratulations! This is the Image of the Week selection for the Flora and Macro Gallery, week ending 6th July, 2012!

A nice and soft light bathed this lovely orchis. It was surrounded by high grass mouving wildly with the wind. I decided not to "clean" the palce and to use the dancing grass as a BG.

The grassy setting is beautifully rendered - the high-key capture of the orchis is striking. You'd never know it was windy...
