Congratulations! This is the Image of the Week selection for the Flora and Macro Gallery, week ending 29th June, 2012!
Hi all Here's a shot of a tiny froglet, the visible part of the froglet is probably approx 8-10mm? (the vegetation is duck weed), I would say little one is actually inbetween being a tadpole with legs and a Young Frog/Froglet, although obviously not visible in this shot, the tail was very long!, I took this shot a few weeks ago and they were quite sluggish (which could have been the cool weather) and kept to the water, now I see no tails or barely visible little stubs, plus they are all over the lawn (and extremely quick/mobile!).........so whether this is a "Tadpole with legs" or a "Froglet"....I have no clues really?  I used a full set of extension tubes and it was quite windy, so I used a wide aperture, the DOF over the little frog could be much better  .... but hopefully the tiny scale of this scene will come across as intended to all you macro shooters!........which is a bit of an excuse/get out clause    5D2, 180mm+extension tubes, ISO 400, F5, 1/25th, tripod and cable release |
