  5. Exit the browser again, reopen it, and try to sign in again.

Congratulations! This is the Image of the Week selection for the Travel and Culture Gallery, week ending 29th June, 2012!

Rive Gauche, Paris

My friend was accompanying on a walk in the rain through the two islands in Paris asked if I was bringing my camera. I always do since, if I leave my camera at the hotel something good will happen. Turns out I should have brought my tripod too. A small split in the horizon allowed the most intense colour to develop after a very wet cloudy day. Ironically it was the best sunset I had seen after spending a month shooting landscapes in Brittany.

Canon 5DMkII, 16-35mm 2.8L, f14, 0.8s.

The glow is really beautiful. Yes, everytime you don't bring out your camera and/or tripod, something good will happen. So I just carry it everywhere unless I know there definitely won't be any shooting opportunity that I'm interested in, e.g. being dragged along to Disneyland by the wife...

Correct! I braced it against a bridge, good enough for exposures of a few seconds.

Intense glow, lovely. I get that sometimes too, when I'm out without my gears the sunset/ sunrise will be amazingly good!
