Taking First in the Amateur division of the 2015 Audubon Photography Awards!

Gotta love it. 10 year old camera! Mad props to the skill and perseverance of the photog. 

All of these are pretty awesome shots. But the Nikon thing just made me smile.

I could not help but notice that two of the winning shots that appear at the link above were taken in Texas, one at Bolivar Flats, on or near a Houston Audubon Sanctuary, and one at Laguna Seca Ranch, just north of Edinburg, Texas. I was at this ranch last week and can attest to it as a good place to go for bird photos. Their sunken blinds are really good.
