Hi,.

I'm thinking of going to the salt flats later this year and trying to get some decent images of the hexagons. I tried years ago but got nothing that I liked.

I'm thinking about the Bad Water area so I'm wondering about the time of day and the camera position.

Thanks

What time of the year? I would do those towards the evening simply because the mountains towards the east are just too close and the sun gets overhead pretty quickly. The Panamints (I think) on the western side are much farther away and better light angle in the evening should be theoretically possible.

Thanks, I haven't picked a time. I'm retired so it will depend on when I schedule it. Probably not in the peak of summer or vacation time.
