I am conducting a photographic workshop on U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service managed land. I am required to get a Special Use Permit to have the workshop on the refuge. One of the requirements is to purchase Liability Insurance for the workshop. Does anyone have suggestions as to where I can purchase such insurance?
Any suggestions would be helpful. I guess the other question would be if the organization that has hire me to conduct the workshop already has liability insurance is there a need to purchase an additional policy?

Thanks for suggestions and help.

The only one I could find to insure me was Insure America. Of course I also do tours internationally so you might have more luck.

Another thing to do to protect yourself from litigation is to incorporate, LLC.

If it's just one workshop you are doing for another company and you are working for them then my view is you should be covered under their policy. We have a worldwide policy that covers all our instructors but that's a big can of worms and comes with an annual cost. And there are many different levels of coverage etc. Not sure if you can get coverage for one event/workshop. I would check the company you're doing this for first.
