NatureScapes.Net Submission Guidelines
NatureScapes.Net (the “Website”) is an online resource designed and created for people who share a common interest in and desire to exchange information about nature photography. Our readers encompass a variety of stages of development in their craft but are typically quite knowledgeable and dedicated to the pursuit of nature photography.
Submissions of articles and/or photographs/images for posting on the Website ("submissions") are encouraged at any time and must be submitted in electronic format via email to the editors.
In your email, please inform us if any part of your submission has been previously published, and if so, where and when it has appeared.
Acceptance of submissions, whether articles or photographs, will generally be based on thematic timeliness, appropriateness of subject matter, clarity, adherence to standard conventions of the English language, and conformance with all Website policies. Preference will be given to submissions that are clear, concise, focused, innovative, fresh, of educational or entertaining value to the readership of the Website and documented or well-researched, when appropriate. We reserve the right to edit content. The right to refuse to post or to accept for publication any submission on the Website is our sole discretion.
Some advantages to getting published on NatureScapes.Net:

- Get more face time: The average time on the website and average page views per session suggest a loyal and active readership – and it continues to grow each month.
- Worldwide audience: Nearly every traceable country /territory has visited NSN – most of them regularly with the largest presence in North America and Europe.
- Established credentials: 8 years of established presence as an active online community – proven track record with growth each year.
Submission Guidelines:
We encourage nature photography-related articles pertaining to the subjects of biology, natural history, habitat, behavior, location, art, ethics, conservation or restoration and technology.
Article text should be submitted in .doc or .txt format and emailed to the editors with any images included as separate attachments. Please indicate within the article text where each image should appear. The entire package may also be compressed into a .zip file for ease of sending.
Images may be submitted with articles for illustration purposes, or may be submitted alone for consideration as a monthly cover. All images must be provided in JPEG (.JPG) format. Images should not exceed 500 kilobytes in size, nor should their longest side exceed 700 pixels for article submissions or 800 pixels for cover shots. Images submitted should have no watermarks or copyright text on them; NSN will add the photographer's copyright (preceded by the © symbol) to each image appearing on the NSN website using a font and size consistent with the rest of the website. Cover images will also have the NSN logo added. Images with watermarks, copyright text, website addresses etc. already on them will be rejected and you will be asked to resubmit them.
