MARCH 2008
This is the Godrevy Lighthouse in Cornwall, UK, captured during a brief interlude in the torrential rains that poured over the UK for weeks on end in 2007. I’m standing in a sort of open-topped slot canyon affair that is totally inundated at high tide, looking towards the lighthouse. Right now the tide is low, but coming in. It’s getting towards sunset, with strong light flaring off the clouds and the wet rocks in front of the slot. A classic scene for HDR technique, and one that seemed a natural for black and white as well. Captured with a Canon EOS 5D and Sigma 12-24mm f/4.5-5.6.
